For historians, nothing is more important than a primary source, the actual voices or our historical actors. But where to find them and how best to use them? That’s the purpose of this eight-week introductory workshop on archival research. Covering archival theory, research methodologies, and providing first-hand experience working with archival material, the workshop will culminate in the application for a mock grant to conduct archival research in a library or other institutional repository. This class is open to students of all majors, including any with an interest in research in the humanities, museum studies, or interdisciplinary inquiry involving historical sources. TU 1
